This collection is one that reflects the classic rags to riches story. Based on the world of boxing it tells the tale of Cinderella, who here is a man that achieved overnight fame. Former boxer and prospective champion Jim Braddock works as a day laborer to provide good for his family. His faith and determination gave him a second chance after getting offered from his former manager a come-back against a young rising boxer, surprising the audience with a victory, paving his way back to become a world heavyweight champion. His misery, and passion for boxing fuelled his way to success, through sweat and blood. My collection reflects this journey with the use of colors, prints and cuts. Dark colors for the part of his life where he was destitute, and brighter ones showing his new-earned success. Basic cuts reflecting the worker’s life versus draping and several cuts reflecting the way to success.
